Fake it till you have it should be Faith it till you have it.

I think the whole process is hinged on Vision → words → time-(faith) →materialisation/ manifestations.

People tend give motivational speech along the lines of fake it until you make or have it. I’ve come to discover they are just practicing God’s principles.

Remember God is a covenant keeping God. He set laws in place i.e. law of gravity, rain and sunshine, seed time and harvest. Whether you believe he exists or not the laws when applied works. Throw an Apple in the air and it will fall back to the ground irrespective of who threw the Apple. So also, is faith and acting in faith.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing the words by the word of God. Romans 10:17 KJV. So, repeating positive reaffirmation is practicing faith. There is life and power in our words.

We are created in God’s image, in every sense of the word. God the father, God the son Jesus, God the Holy Spirit. We are also threefold, we are Spirit beings, with a soul living in a body.

In the beginning God started creation with his thoughts, imagination.  “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” Genesis 1:2 KJV

Amplified version says, ‘the Spirit of God was moving (brooding, hovering)’.  Dictionary meaning of brooded includes: think deeply about something, sit on, other synonyms include incubate, meditate on.

So, then everything about creation, he God formed the images in his thoughts.

So, if a non-Christian, atheist thinks, anyone imagines and deeply focuses his thoughts to create a vision. He or she is following the principles of God.

God’s creation came to life through the words of God. When we speak we as well create. So, as you repeat your positive affirmations you are creating what you say. Remember your affirmations came from your thoughts.

You are calling your words into life as you say them and believe them. (faith/ believe).

(an example of positive affirmations that always works- kids riding bicycles or starting to walk. We keep telling the child you can do it and they believe us and see themselves actually start walking or riding the bike and they eventually do walk or ride that bicycle.)

“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” James 2:17.

Here is where the faking it till happens occurs. Believing and acting as though it has happened. Taking steps and decision as though those affirmations have come to pass.

People without relationship with God have harnessed God’s principles and it’s working for them.

How come we his children struggle to reconcile both, his words and application to our day to life. Bearing in mind, as we have accepted Christ as our Lord and saviours we have been reconciled to God. We have an edge because of our direct access to God through Jesus Christ.

So, I believe as Christian when we follow all the step above I.e. Vision – words – time-(faith) and we ask in Jesus name. The name of JESUS is the ultimate seal of approval. Just as legal contracts have a seal of approval. I guess the subtle differences is that our affirmations as Christians should be based on God’ word, his promise.

We visual are request or solutions to a problem, find God’s promises that confirms the request and we believe it. (Believing is a key ingredients). Then we confess the word, believing them and start to act in faith till it happens.

Thank you, lord, we ask for your grace to apply your words to our daily life in Jesus name.

I am still practicing this in my day to day life and sometimes I struggle and drop the ball. But I get back up, because I know his grace is sufficient for me. Amen!!

As always thank you for taking time to read the post.
